Need some outfit inspiration for your next trip to Costa Rica? Here’s a lookbook of all the outfits I took on my recent trip to Costa Rica. When I travel, I look for outfits that not only look great in photos but are comfortable. I also don’t like to spend a ton of money on my outfits, I want to spend that on other things on my trip.
These outfits will have you ready to travel to Costa Rica in style!
Casual Summer Beach Outfit
This shirt is actually vintage so I don’t have an exact match but I did find some super cute Hawaiian shirts. I love these jean shorts, I have practically been living in them this summer. They are the perfect length and hit right at the waist, makes them perfect for a crop top.
Bright Swimsuit
This is one of my favorite swimsuits from Amazon. I’ve had it for a couple years and it always looks great on and in photos. I’ve linked a few other options.
Beach Casual Cover-Up
Not even a proper “fashion photo,” but this cover-up is awesome. I’ve not only taken it to Costa Rica but also to the lake. It’s the perfect toss on over wet swimwear. It’s also loose enough that if you have a sunburn you won’t be uncomfortable. Also, this bucket hat is perfect for vacation because you can toss it right in your bag, the brim is large so it keeps the sun off your face and out of your eyes. It is in my beach/lake/pool bag all summer.
Two Piece Set
Nothing easier to toss on than a two piece set! This set shows just the right amount of midriff without being super revealing or making me feel bloated. Eat all the fantastic food in Costa Rica and not worry about your tummy. In the hot Costa Rica weather, this is also perfect for keeping cool.
Floral Dress
You’ve gotta have a nice dress for dinner out! This one is perfect because it’s lightweight so you won’t melt. I also have the black one and while I didn’t get around to getting any photos in it, I do get a ton of compliments. I also love how inexpensive these dresses are so I can wear them on the beach in Costa Rica and not feel bad if I get them wet. In other words, take some fantastic photos in the ocean with these dresses and not feel guilty.
More Swimsuits!
This zipper swimsuit totally makes me feel like I’m in a James Bond film. I adore the green color. Have my exact one linked as well as a few other similar styles. All under $15, doesn’t get much better than that!
Fancy Room Service Pajamas
I live my most fabulous life while I’m on vacation and that means trading in my usual sweatpants and t-shirt for a beautiful pajama set. Here are my exact ones that I took to Costa Rica along with a few other options for your lookbook. Afterall, you should feel like your best self on vacation!
Beach Jumpsuit
One of my favorite items I found on Amazon is this tropical jumpsuit. It’s incredibly comfortable, super cute, and comes in a bunch of patterns. My pasties linked below too. This is exactly what I use for underneath backless, or low cut tops. Also, these rubber Birkenstocks are perfect for the beach and pool.
Costa Rica Boho Beach Outfit
Hands down my favorite outfit of the trip. This beach outfit had me feeling all the Costa Rica Pura Vida vibes. The most expensive part is the hat, which by the way, is a great dupe for the Lack of Color summer straw hat at a fraction of the price.
Costa Rica Casual
I love how unique this top is. Toss it right over a swim top and you are good to go. Here again with my absolute favorite jean shorts.
I love the casual vibe of Costa Rica and these outfits will immediately have you living the Pura Vida lifestyle!
